Long Beard Guiding was founded by Danny Bissonette out of his shear love and passion of hunting turkeys. Danny’s first turkey hunts came out of pure curiosity when he was 16 years old when he and a friend decided to give it a try. Teaching themselves the way of the turkey, the first successful hunt didn’t come easy; however, they were instantly hooked.

 

Danny continued his turkey journey throughout the following seasons, eventually developing a reputation as an avid turkey hunter. He could be seen driving around Martintown from before dawn until after dusk. Danny’s passion for the hunt brushed off on others within the community, and naturally he became a mentor to many. His reputation became widely known and Long Beard Guiding was born. 

 

Respect for the hunt is engrained in Long Beard’s core philosophy. Just like Danny, all Long Beard guides have a passion for sharing and teaching the true experience of turkey hunting. Whatever Mother Nature decides, you won’t be disappointed.
